Policies & Safeguards

Our Institutional Policies

All policies are reviewed annually and align with Kenyan law, child protection standards, and international best practices.

EDG is committed to preventing harm and protecting all beneficiaries, especially children and vulnerable adults. This policy outlines reporting mechanisms, staff training requirements, and zero tolerance for abuse. All employees and partners sign a safeguarding code of conduct.

EDG maintains strict internal controls, segregation of duties, and whistleblower protections. Any suspected fraud is investigated immediately, and legal action is pursued. Annual external audits verify financial integrity.

We adhere to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Kenyan Children's Act. All staff working with children undergo background checks, and programmes include child-safe spaces, consent protocols, and reporting pathways.

EDG actively promotes inclusion of persons with disabilities, women, youth, and marginalized communities. Our recruitment, programming, and partnerships reflect our commitment to equity. 40% of our staff are from underrepresented groups.

Transparent, competitive bidding for all goods and services above KES 100,000. We prioritize local suppliers, women-owned businesses, and environmental sustainability.

Confidential reporting channel available for staff, partners, and beneficiaries to report misconduct without fear of retaliation. Reports can be made anonymously to governance@edendestinygroup.com.
